Christmas Eve 2016

Christmas Eve was a busy but fun day.

We started out with the Harrison Nativity

Sheperd Ethan with a few of his sheep
(Asher and Annalisa)

Lizzie and Ethan with all their sheep
plus a cute little Esmae playing Jesus

Next we went to my parents for some
Christmas Eve presents and story reading
Present almost bigger than her :)

Getting some books she really wanted.
Good job Brett! :)

A Visit From St. Nicholas

Then we came home and the kids changed into their Christmas pajamas and  we got ready for Christmas morning.

Even on Christmas Eve we have meltdowns :)

Looks like Santa has come!

December randomness

I swear every year December goes by faster and faster.....
Here is a little bit of what we have been up to.

Advent calendar and Christmas books are ready to go.....

Festival of Trees with Jim

The last two weeks of November and the first two of December
had ALOT of volleyball.  So glad Ethan was
able to do that.  He did great and it was so
fun to watch him improve his game.

His team and coach

There was a Wednesday night both Ethan and Lizzie were
at a youth activity so we took the girls out to eat.
Jim snapped this picture coming back from the restroom.

There was one Saturday in December Jim and I realized (yet again) we have a pretty awesome son.  He had a volleyball tournament from like 8 to 4:30.  We came home and while he was showering I checked the mail to find out he had made Honor Roll.  Then we were off to his Christmas piano recital.  Music, sports, academics, kind, patient, the list goes on and on.   We are very lucky!

Helping Grandma H. decorate her tree.

Cousin time!
There was a Wednesday night we were able to watch the triplets for a few hours.

Luckily for my sanity we still do Friday night pizza night in December

Lizzie's band concert and matching shirt night for Jim and his dad :)

8 year old Christmas artwork is the best!

Where you can find Lucky 95% of the time in December

Family night to Voice Male Christmas concert

The start of Christmas break means turning off alarm clocks!!!!  Yeah!

Christmas is coming.....

After Thanksgiving dinner at my parents house, we came home and put up our Christmas stuff.
Afton and Lilly were so excited.
Then we watched Elf as a family and then Jim, Ethan and I played a new version of Ticket to Ride.
Good Day.

Luminaria

We were able to go to a new Christmas light show up at Thanksgiving Point.
It was really cool but definitely half
price cool which is what we paid.
For the discount tickets you had to go before Thanksgiving so we kicked off our holiday festivities a little early.

November

The month of November always seems to have a mix of random events.
This year is no different.

November 4th- work lunch with one of my very favorite friends, Wendi Christensen

November 5th- Grandma frolicking in the leaves :)

November 5th- Lizzie trying to teach Lucky how to drink out of a water bottle

November 6th-  A good family picture (with an extra cute baby) at Esmae's baby blessing

November 9th- Birthday Even for Jim at Leatherby's

November 10th- Jim's birthday!
Lilly made this label so everyone would know he was the Birthday person :)

November 10th- I happened to see this flier at the dance studio when I was picking the girls up.
I did a double take realizing Lilly was the cute dancer in the picture.

November 12th and 19th- Ethan's volleyball tournaments.  So fun to watch him playing something he loves.  They took 2nd for their division both times!

November 16th- one of the pros/ cons of working in a school is I still get to add to my school picture collection.

November 19th- we celebrated Jim's birthday with my parents a little later.
Here is the cabin my dad made for Jim.

November 20th- We celebrated Jim's birthday (and Morgan's ) even later :)
Morgan turned 3.  Jim turned 45.
