Jim's birthday had a rough go this year.  I only have this one picture to prove we did anything :)  It started out great.  Here we are going out to dinner with some of our favorite friends for an early  birthday celebration on November 6th.  As always so fun to hang out with these guys and have a nice night of friendship and laughter.   

  We were going to have a family party for Morgan and Jim on November 8th.  Morgan got sick and Jim did too :(  So about an hour before the party we cancelled. 

On Birthday Eve (November 9th) Jim was still sick.  He finally went to the doctor only to find our he had pneumonia!!!!! 

On his birthday (November 10th) he was feeling a little better (yeah for prescription drugs) so we went to Leatherby's the night of this birthday.  Otherwise we hung out at home to let him rest. 

A couple weeks later on November 22nd we finally rescheduled our family party for him and Morgan.  Nice to have everyone over even if it does make our house feel really small :)

Happy Birthday Jim.  As Lizzie would say,

 "WE LOVE YOU SO, SO , SO MUCH WITH ALL OUR HEART." 

Home Improvements

Sometimes after you do a small home improvement project (like painting your walls) it makes you want to do more (like replacing your floors).    On a pretty spontaneous impulse we started tearing out our wood floors on a Monday night around 8:30.  Ethan was a huge help and  never seemed to lose energy.  We were very grateful he was here to help us.  We already know what we want our new floor to look like but decided to paint our kitchen  cupboards first.  So now we walk on sub floors for awhile. 

And this is how our kids do homework when Jim is using a saw on the floor. :)
