Manti Pageant/ Palisades

We just got back from a very fun adventure with some of our favorite friends (The Sierer Family).
We went down and saw the Mormon Miracle Pageant in Manti.  Then the next day we spent the whole day at
Palisades canoeing, paddle boarding, hanging out on paddle boats and basically enjoying a perfect summer day!!!

The beginning of our adventures..... Walking to go get dinner

The famous BBQ Turkey Dinner.
We kept ourselves busy waiting for the pageant to start by playing Disney HeadBanz

Such good kids!
Jaren, Colin and Ethan

Pure 8 year old happiness

I even tried out the paddle board.
Very relaxing and easier than I thought.

Perfect summer day full of water, fun things to do, sun, good food and friends!

Ragnar 2016

This year I had the opportunity to do Ragnar (June 17th and 18th)  with some people in my neighborhood. It was my second time doing it- the last being in 2014.   It was just as I remember- fun, hot, exhausting, rewarding, etc.   This time I had a 4.5 mile run, 10.2 mile run and a 2.5 mile run.

How you pack for Ragnar- each leg/run clothes in a ziplock bag

My van.  I am so glad I got to hang out with these ladies.
We meshed very well even after hardly any sleep and being together constantly for almost 36 hours.   It was so fun to do Ragnar with them.

Trisha Arrowsmith, Alisha Harrison, Michelle Christensen

Me a little bit before my first run and right after we had decorated the Yukon

Our team name Chafing Dreams :)

Love this group selfie!!!

Me after my 10 mile run.  I loved this run so much!!!
It was at 2 in the morning, complete darkness (with a headlight of course) on a trail.
I loved every second of it and was really surprised how much
I loved running in the coolness and darkness.

FINISHED!

My medal!
I love it and Ragnar medals I take extra pride in since it is a very exhausting race.

Me with my Bling

Our whole team- Van 1 and Van 2 at the finish line
 Youth Conference
So while I was off to Ragnar Ethan was off experiencing his very first Youth Conference
.  It was kinda like a mini EFY up in Logan.  I was so excited for
him to go and it sounds like he had a great time.

Youth in our ward age 14 and older.  Such an amazing great group of kids

Young Men in our ward 14 and older.
So glad Ethan gets to hang out with these boys.

First week of Summer

Our first week of summer was pretty sweet....

We got a couple swim days in at Draper Pool.  Even better when we are there with friends (Sierer's and Herd's)

Lilly lost her second top front tooth.  She is now missing her two front teeth.  My favorite kind of smiles.
I let each of the kids have some friends over for a summer party.  Lizzie's was first.  Good group of cute (but loud) friends.

Saige, Hannah, Autumn, Lizzie, Sarah, Anna, Jane, Chloe
Afton and Lilly's party was Wednesday night.  Cute girls.
Izzy, Rachel, Anya, Hailey, Charlotte, Lilly, Cami, Brooke, Reagan, Emily, Afton, Maddie

Ethan had his Thursday night but I forgot to take a picture :(
On Friday we went to The Living Planet Aquarium
with my parents and Brett

Jim and I ended the week with going to my favorite restaurant (Red Butte CafĂ©) and sitting on the patio for dinner.  Perfect.

Saturday morning I woke up and did a 10 mile run.  I haven't done that in forever!!  It wasn't my best run and I walked for a few parts of it, but I did it!!!! Big milestone for me!  Can't complain too much when this is the scenery I get to look at for most of my run.

On to week number two of summer break......
