April

A brief glimpse of other things that went on in April....
Ethan has been trying to get enough hours in to get his license.  He usually drives Jim somewhere on Sundays.  On this day they headed up to the capitol and backl

Jim and I had told the girls to go outside and enjoy the nice weather.  I guess this was their idea of enjoying the weather.  Reading on the trampoline

Temple Round 2

We were all home on a Friday night so we all hurried and changed our clothes and headed over to the Open House as our family.  I am so glad we all got to go together as our family of 6.

The Roof

When each of our kids turned 8, Jim and I took them to The Garden Restaurant with grandparents.  We decided to venture across the hall when they turned 16 to The Roof Restaurant.

His friends came over for pizza then
I dropped them all off at Leatherby's.
 Afterwords they came back here
and played games for awhile.

On April 15th we had family over for a little celebration

A cake topper pep talk from his parents :)
Ethan is so lucky to have all 4 grandparents live close by and the influence they are in his life.

Ethan- we are so very proud of the  man you are becoming and are so excited for what the future holds for you.
  Happy 16th birthday!

Spring Break 2018- Zions and Bryce

For the past 6 of the 7 years this is who
we have been able to hang out with for Spring Break.
Some kids are missing due to college, missions or marriage.
How lucky we are to have such great friends to hang out with.
This year we hung out and explored Zions and Bryce.
April 4th-7th 2018

Day 1- Zions

Lacing up her green converse getting ready for some adventures
Afton age 10

Some of the crew waiting to get on the shuttle at Zions.

Afton, Sophie, Greta, Savannah, Lilly, Lizzie and Owen

Moms and daughters at Weeping Rock
She loves her dad!

Oh man!  Zions is gorgeous! While some of the group went to do Angels Landing the rest of us ended up doing another hike.  It still had steep cliffs, chains, trees and rocks to climb over.
Hidden Canyon trail

Rock climbing

Day 2- .... Mossy Caves and Bryce

I actually like Bryce more than Zions.  It is way less crowded.  The scenery is stunning and I like the hiking trails better.

These two are some of my very favorite friends
Jody and Julie

It's always awesome to be able to hang out on Spring Break with good friends
Ethan and Colin

Taylor, Sophie, Liz and Savannah exploring Bryce

This girl was such a trooper!  She was the only girl (kid) that went on the extra 3 mile hike.
Our whole group went on sunrise trail and then
the group broke off to do peekaboo trail, navajo trail and bryce point.

Day 3- heading home
We like to invade restaurants on our way home:)
And this picture is only half of us
