One of the best movies I have seen in a long time.  I saw it 3 times within a week and a half which is huge for me.  Here I am the 2nd time with the girls.  Liz is taking the picture :)

Lizzie pulled this bear out of a dumpster.  Yep, you read that right.  The bear was in pristine condition and is now part of our home.

 Nice work Jim :)

Jim made me a new bowl for my birthday that I had accidentally broke.  He went to Color me Mine and painted it to look just like the original one.

California Adventures

We headed down to Universal
one more time before our passes expired.
Extra bonus that we added a few more things into our days
January 17th- 21st

DAY 1- UNIVERSAL STUDIOS

Ready for a day of fun!!!
Here we are right before heading into the park for the day.

Ethan with his delicious frozen butter beer!  Yum!!!

Lizzie seems like the only one nervous for the minion ride :)

Our Hogwarts feast!  So good!

We were more than a little sad that one of our favorite rides was closed!!  Well everyone was sad but Afton.  She does not like the ride and actually seemed happy when she saw the sign.

Jim with his new friend :)
The Mummy.  Also one of my FAVORITE rides there!

DAY 2- THE BEACH
We hung out a little at the Santa Monica Pier and beach and then headed over to Venice Beach.  Time at the beach is always perfect and we love it!

End of Route 66 on the Pier

 Beautiful girl at the Beach
Lizzie- age 13

Another cute girl at the beach
Afton- 9 years old

I love watching my kids play at the beach

Lilly and her dad :)

DAY 3-
SWAP MEET, GRIFFITH PARK AND OBSERVATORY
Jim and the kids had been planning on Saturday morning of our trip to  visit a California Swap Meet.
It did not disappoint and they found some good treasures.
Up near Griffith Observatory was a pretty good spot to check out the Hollywood sign.
Family picture on our hike down.
I love watching these two bond and laugh together.
Lilly found these sunglasses on the beach and was so excited and proud to wear them on our hike the following day.
Cute girl with her new braces
Mom and Afton (age 9) on the trail

DAY 4- HONEY FARM, FISH HATCHERY, PARK
LOS ANGELES TEMPLE

Somehow we still managed to find something with bees and honey while on vacation for Jim :)
Checking out and feeding the fish at the hatchery
Ha! Ha!  We found it pretty funny this is the Snickers Liz got during our picnic lunch :)
Parks and 9 year old just go together.
The Los Angeles Temple Visitor's Center was pretty awesome!
So gorgeous!
I'm glad the temple was our last stop before heading to the airport.  Perfect ending to our vacation.

Antelope Island

We have made it a tradition to head out to Antelope Island when we can on  January 1st.  This year there wasn't much snow but the weather was absolutely perfect for a gorgeous hike.
We hiked about halfway up the Frury Trail.

STUNNING Scenery!

My most favorite people right there!

A girl and her dog :)

The sun on my face felt so good!

About halfway up Lilly was done!  She said she was going to sit down a minute and that turned into this :)  She made it though and was just fine for the way down.
Handsome guy!!

First family hike of 2018!!!!

When did this boy get so big and old!!

So glad I get to start a new year with this boy!
