Summer Days

Summer days are starting to wind down quickly :( Here is how we spent a little bit of our July summer days trying to soak up the last few weeks of summer.
Lots of jumping on the trampoline.
On this day we put a sprinkler under the trampoline.
The girls thought that was pretty awesome.

Big brother joining in with water balloons on the trampoline :)

Afton and Jim have been making lots of jam this summer!!!

Lots and lots of swimming.
On this day we went to Cottonwood

Happy Swimmer!

Cute little Afton

Lizzie and her friends Sophie and Sarah even had a little dance routine all planned out.

This is what my girls do in the cold dairy section of Costco.
Every time we go in  they feel the need to cuddle up for warmth :)

Summer time is always a great time to see friends who live far away
that come to Utah to visit family.
This is Brian and Melissa Farnsworth.  Brian was one of Jim's roommates at Utah State.

I have been running again.
My pace is much slower than years past of training :(
I have to keep reminding myself you have to start somewhere right?
This is my longest run so far (July 10th).
The MapMyRun app on my phone is my new best friend on runs.
I am trying to get ready for the Half Marathon in September.

Ethan finished up summer volleyball.
He was the only boy on the team.  It was fun to see how much he has improved since Spring.

Lucky cuddling with a kitty :)

Dog days of summer
At the end of swim lessons they got to go off the diving board!!!
Afton ended up going 3 more times!
There she goes!
Lilly on the other hand was more hesitant.
Her instructor walked to the end with her and then dropped her to the other instructor :)
Board Game Action

July 27th to July 31st this boy headed off to Scout camp.
They went to go hike King's Peak.

17

For our anniversary Jim and I headed up to our usual spot of Park City.  We were there for a  little bit more than 24 hours (July 17th- 18th).  It is always so beautiful up there and nice to spend some time with Jim.

DAY 1:  After a little lunch at Zupa's we spent the day at the Utah Olympic Park.

While we were there we caught up with some friends that I work with.
Tim works in the Altara office on Fridays and Maria works for the school district also.

Jim ready to do the extreme zipline.
I really loved this zipline and it was my favorite out of all the things we did
.  We did this one twice and the smaller one once.

So this is me getting ready to do a zipline over to the Drop Tower.  Yes, you heard me right- a 65 foot Drop Tower!!!!!  It was seriously one of the most terrifying things I have ever done.  I usually have no issues with heights but just walking into thin air truly terrifies me as I found out :)

On my way to one of the most scariest moments of my life.

Jim cruising down on the Alpine Slide

End of the day smiles :)

Ziplines, Drop Tower, rope course and Alpine Slide.

All insanely fun and terrifying in different ways.
Jim and I ended the evening by swimming under the stars at the pool at our hotel.
DAY 2:  We hung out at the Canyons Resort today doing Gondola rides, hiking and a surprise free lunch at Red Tail Grill.  During lunch on the patio we saw one of Jim's patients who happens to work there.  When we asked for our check our waiter just said it was taken care of and Happy Anniversary :)

Absolutely breathtaking views from our Gondola ride.
We ended our evening by going to our very first REAL game with some of our favorite friends Ted and Stacey.  We even managed to get on the Jumbo Tron!

The sunset that night was incredible!
It was a very nice 17th Anniversary.  Here's to many more.....

Spruces

We spent about 24 hours with my parents up in the Spruces (June 10th to 11th).  It was absolutely beautiful up there and nice company.  The only thing missing was Ethan who was away on a scout camp.  He was able to come up for the last 3 hours or so which was nice.

Our group at Silver Lake

The first night Lilly had a laughing attack :)

Me and a couple of my girls.

Still hard to believe I have 3 daughters.

Afton and Lilly.
Twins that just don't look alike :)

4th of July

Our 4th of July this year was pretty low key.  That evening we had my parents and Jim's dad over for a little BBQ.  Then we did a few fireworks here at the house.  We are grateful that Afton and Lilly still get excited over the $19 we spent on fireworks which included smoke bombs, snakes, panda bears, and a few others.  Around 9ish we headed over to Sandy to see the big fireworks.  They always do such a great job and it was nice to go.

Lucky all decked out for the 4th

Sample of our red, white and blue desserts

Our Scout took a break from the BBQ to go pick up flags from around the neighborhood.

Cute!

Smoke Bomb fun!

I really like this picture.  Too bad Lilly is not in it.
She was having a meltdown at the moment
