Art Party

We ended Lizzie's birthday week with her friend "Art" party.

Other birthday news......

The cake Lizzie wanted for her family party :)  Yes, Lizzie is one of a kind.

Perhaps her favorite gift from turning 12, a present she got from her Aunt Ruth.
  She loves it and Chuckles the clown now has a new companion. 

Winter Fun

Our friends the Roberts invited us and the Sierers up to their cabin in Oakley for the night of February 19th. 

 On the 20th we went out and played in

 the snow up by the cabin with snowmobiles and sleds.  

Such a fun day.

Provo City Center Temple

We had the great opportunity of being able to go see the new Provo City Center Temple on February 12th.  It was such an amazing temple with such amazing detail.  I am grateful for forever families and the meaning temples have.  As we were getting ready to park to go in, we happened to see our good friends the Duncans also parking.  It was super fun to see them and to go walk through with them. Such a fun unplanned meet up.

On the way home we stopped at Krispy Kremes for some doughnuts. 
 They were even in the process of making
 them which the kids thought was pretty cool to watch.

Pre Valentines Festivities

 

Afton and Lilly had a Sock Hop at school for Valentines. 

 Weird that this is my last 2nd Grade Sock Hop with my kids :(

 

 

 Afton's teacher Ms. Westwood sent me a few pictures of her class at the sock hop.....

I just think this one is adorable.  Afton and her good friend Reagan.

Jim also brought me some flowers  at work. 
 A dozen long stem roses with lillies in them. 
 It was absolutely gorgeous.

Busy Week

We just finished up a very busy but fun week

Monday February 1st- 

We went down to the new Church History Museum for Family Home Evening.

Tuesday February 2nd- 

Ethan had Freshman Orientation (what????)  How can he be old enough to be getting ready for High School?  In all reality, I am very excited for him and all of the experiences he will have.  Plus he looks pretty good in his Hillcrest shirt.

Afton and Lilly had Parent Teacher conference also this night.  They are both doing very well and we are very proud of them.  This paper cracked me up from Afton's parent teacher conference though.  I totally believe in having confidence but perhaps she should try spelling as something to improve on :)

Wednesday February 3rd-
Lizzie had New Beginnings (what?)  Seriously, my kids are growing up much too fast :(  We have such a great group of girls in our ward right now that are so excited to welcome her into Young Women's.  Sophie Duncan, Lizzie and Paige Blair will be the new Beehives for 2016.

Friday February 5th-
Jim and Ethan went with the Scouts for Snow Caves.....

While the boys were away we had a girls night with pizza, candy, soda, popcorn and watching Hotel Transylvania 2

Saturday February 6th-
We went down to Provo with the Sierers. We hung out at the Bean Museum for a little bit, walked around campus, went to the Norman Rockwell exhibit and then out to dinner at Brick Oven Pizza.  Fun night with good friends.
