Christmas 2016

Christmas Day 2016

First we woke up to a winter wonderland! 

It snowed about 10 inches

Christmas Eve into Christmas morning. 

It was gorgeous!

Lilly opening her stocking- she was very excited about her Color Me Mine gift certificate

She got an American Girl Doll (well Target version) with glasses just like her.  Lilly even got a matching outfit to her doll she can wear too.

This girl has really been wanting a real pet turtle but probably knew that wasn't a real possibility, so instead asked for the next closest thing.... A Little Live Pet Turtle.  Extra bonus that mom and dad gave her TWO turtles :)  She loves them and has named them Pearl and Diamond

This girl has entered the land of cell phone responsibility. 

She was very excited and I think surprised that mom and dad got her an iPhone (old version) and not a flip phone.  We are already finding out girls text WAY more than boys.

  Christmas aftermath

My parents came up for a little bit to see what the kids got and then it was time to get ready for church.

 This year Christmas landed on Sunday.

  It  was really nice to go to church on Christmas Day and be reminded of the true reason for the season

After church we headed over to Jim's parents for awhile and then came home and relaxed and played with our gifts including 

 some Mario Kart .

Another very good yet busy day.

Christmas Eve 2016

Christmas Eve was a busy but fun day. 

We started out with the Harrison Nativity

A Visit From St. Nicholas

Then we came home and the kids changed into their Christmas pajamas and  we got ready for Christmas morning.

We had a really nice night as a family on the

19th going to see the Temple Lights.

December randomness

I swear every year December goes by faster and faster..... 

Here is a little bit of what we have been up to.

Advent calendar and Christmas books are ready to go.....

Festival of Trees with Jim

The last two weeks of November and the first two of December

had ALOT of volleyball.  So glad Ethan was

able to do that.  He did great and it was so

fun to watch him improve his game.

There was a Wednesday night both Ethan and Lizzie were

at a youth activity so we took the girls out to eat. 

Jim snapped this picture coming back from the restroom.

There was one Saturday in December Jim and I realized (yet again) we have a pretty awesome son.  He had a volleyball tournament from like 8 to 4:30.  We came home and while he was showering I checked the mail to find out he had made Honor Roll.  Then we were off to his Christmas piano recital.  Music, sports, academics, kind, patient, the list goes on and on.   We are very lucky!
