Girl Power

Every Tuesday from 1:30 to 3:30 these six girls get together and hang out for a children's book playgroup.  We rotate houses and whose parent is in charge. When it is your turn you  read a book to the girls,  have a couple activities based on the book,  have a snack and then let them play.

These six girls all live within a block of each other and will start kindergarten next fall. The two girls in the pink and blue shirt in the middle are also twins and live about four houses up from us.

At our most recent turn at our house, we read Harold and the Purple Crayon.  After story, they drew their own purple adventure (like Harold) with only purple crayons, markers and colored pencils.  Then  they learned about mixing red and blue water together to make purple.  Then of course we had purple grapes and purple Kool-Aid.

Such a cute group of girls!
