Family Pictures 2016

Every other year we get family pictures done.  2016 was the year for pictures.  I am so pleased with how they turned out :)  The one thing I don't like- 

it is definitely proof my kids are growing up.

Another successful Altara Jogahthon.  Weird to think our family only has 2 more of these.  We have been able to be a part of them for over 10 years.

Peach week at our house.

My parents had a lot of peaches. 

We have made canned peaches,freezer jam, grilled peaches with ice cream, peach cobbler, peach fruit leather,  smoothies, etc.

I can't say enough how happy these two photos make me!  Ethan loves volleyball but I just have not been sure the best place for him since it isn't a school sanctioned high school sport.  I found Club GSL which I was really impressed with.  Ethan had some tryouts and made the Silver team.  He will now have practices twice a week and 4 tournaments between now and Christmas.  I am so excited for him to have this opportunity with something he loves.

Dirty Dash 2016

On September 17th we did the Dirty Dash as a family and with the Sierer's. 

It was Afton and Lilly's first year and they did so awesome. 

It was a good fun messy day.

That night Jim and I treated the kids with a full moon lift ride up at Sundance.  It was so gorgeous up there.  Here is Lizzie ruining yet another picture (sigh).  We charge her 25 cents every time this happens.  We should be to Disneyland in no time.

  I was super proud of Afton and Lilly today as they both faced some of their fears.  I wasn't sure how Lilly would be at Dirty Dash. She is my more anxious child and I was worried how she would be getting so dirty and doing the obstacles.   She was such a trooper and did all the obstacles with no hesitation or meltdowns.   On the ropes course she got scared for just a minute but faced her fear and kept going!!!!  Afton does not like heights but did amazing on the chair lift ride.  Good job girls!!!

Zoo day

After my half marathon (and a shower) we met my parents up at the zoo. 

Probably not one of my wisest decisions since it just meant more walking for my legs.

  It was such a beautiful day though and nice to be there with my parents.
